ACS Bake sale
A group of my grade 5 students from The American International School in Abu Dhabi chose to research the problem of stray cats and dogs in the capital as part of their Exhibition Project.
As well as raising awareness with their poster board, they also held a bake sale for the elementary students, where they raised Dhs 1,740. On the day of the Exhibition, a mother of another grade 5 student came to the view her child’s work and just so happened to be from the Al-Nahyan Royal Family!
She was so impressed by all their work, that she donated Dhs 50,000 to be divided between each group of students (22 groups in total). So in the end, Dana, Lamya, Noursultan and Abdulla, donated just over Dhs 2000 to Feline Friends and the same amount to SAD.
